New Year's Day – January 1 and 2 combined – ALL caught up!

                                           HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Okay everybody we're going to do a combination January 1 and January 2 blog here due to the fact that by crossing the international date line I pretty much lost almost an entire day.
So, I never did make it to bed last night.... I had laundry to do, and I had to get everything packed for my trip. Got a shower, got my laundry done, and got everything packed for my departure. Terry was up early due to a crying puppy who would not let him sleep (love that Ramsey!). After our morning coffee we were on the road by 7:30 ~ my flight is 11:30 so this will give me plenty of time.

I did take some pictures along the way....

Saturday, December 31 – New Year's Eve

Okay everybody it is finally here, the last day of the year..... New Year's Eve!

Once again today was a pretty slow day, but it got better with our plans for the New Year's Eve.
Terry and his Ruth decided to run up to Dublin to pick me up Frankie, Johnny, and Luigi's famous sausage bread.... This bread is unbelievable!
Sausage, cheese, and bread..... Yummy!!

As far as my daytime adventures go, I went and did a little shopping for some things I needed to get before I left on my trip overseas. Ruth, who is my friend's wife also needed to go do some shopping, so she dropped me off to do what I needed to do. She was supposed to return in just a few minutes to pick me up but she got sidetracked which I believe was message from the universe telling me I needed to get a little exercise. She actually got hung up returning some items and I just got tired of waiting so I got me some good walking in.... It wasn't too bad once I found my way back to the house.
I did grab one good picture while I was out and about.
It sure sounded good, but I was a good boy ~ No fast food

So, the decision was finally made and we were going to the casino for New Year's Eve. We decided on the Black Oak Casino, which is one that I've never been to before, and it was a very nice place. I believe we arrived there about eight o'clock, and we decided to go ahead and start gambling rather than going to eat. Although I didn't take any roulette lessons tonight my outcome seemed to be about the same. Once again I did find one machine that did pay out and that would be the ATM machine! Here are a few pictures from our wonderful night...

Okay it is January 1, 2012 and it is time to get out of this place!!!
Time for that long drive home, and to kick off the new year.

Happy new year everybody and thanks for following my blog so far. Tomorrow morning I'm off to SFO to start another leg of my adventure.
I hope to see you there – have a positive new year – Leo

Friday December 30 ~ Off to Marin....

Back again just like I threatened I would be....

So, now we have made it to Friday and it really is a pretty boring day again.... We hit a few thrift stores to checkout all the great deals. I'm not really sure why, but I bought a few things that I will have to leave behind to pick up later from my friends. Some habits never die ~ I just love thrift stores and garage sales! At least I did find a couple of books that I could take with me. One for my reading pleasure, and one for a gift for a friend in Pattaya, Thailand.

I also inquired about the purchase of a VW Bus ~ I so need a VW Bus!!!
It is actually in good shape, but they want big $$$

So, the plan now is to head over to Marin County late this afternoon to get some food, and meet up with some friends...
Here are some pictures along the way.

James Hetfield's office upstairs on the right.

A bad picture of me in the vehicle... I look like Fat Bastard!! I have to post pictures, and they can't all be good ones.

 Okay on to the food...
I am so due for my favorite Grilled Chicken Super Burrito. The name has changed a couple of times, but the burrito remains the same.... Absolutely no where else that I have found can do a burrito the way this place can!!

Yummy!!!

So after some good food, and meeting with good friends, it was time to head back to Livermore and call it a night.

See you back here for tomorrows update ~ Thanks for following.... Leo

Going to blend together December 28 & 29....

Hey everyone!! I decided to go ahead and blend the two days together due to the fact that I really didn't have much going on these days. I didn't rent a car, and my friend had to hit the office a little more than planned. It was all good considering that my main purpose for this leg of my travels was just to see my good friends and spend some time with them. It also gave me a chance to get some more recovery time for this head cold.
A little something to help with the cold.... Way too much sugar, but I needed the vitamin C.

It was great to spend time with my friends, and to get myself some home cooked meals, and that is pretty much how these to days played out. Early morning coffee, a little shopping, some house hunting, a new puppy (Ramsey) for my friends, home cooked food, and a little television.
Sunset as seen looking down Terry's street.

Pork chop dinner with some rice and squash....  Terry is a great cook!
Ramsey....

Ramsey in his dorky little shirt.

Ramsey and I..... He is the cutest little thing!

So that is pretty much it for the combination of these two days.... Friday will be posting soon, and everything will get caught up soon.
Thanks for following and stay positive ~ Leo
