Still Boring ~ December 11 ~ Trying to get this all caught up!

  Hey everyone! Glad to see I am getting some followers on here, and I hope you all will enjoy my attempt at amusing you while I go about my travels.
  Well,  we are still stuck here at FOB Sharana, as usual it is nothing exciting so to speak. I say "we" due to the fact that I left Warrior with my friend Nick that also works out there for another company, and he too is trying to get home for Christmas just like myself. So it has been Nick and I pretty much hanging out being bored while we wait for "Space A" travel to get to our next destination. If you have ever flown standby, it is very similar to that... But it is way more crowded of a wait, and the lists are long. Lots of back and forth day and night to the PAX terminal (passenger terminal). More of the ever so dreaded hurry up and wait!!

 At least this place actually does have a coffee shop ~ Green Beans Coffee. So up early and the brisk walk to the coffee shop. Just a bit of information - Did you know that you can buy a cup of coffee for a soldier over here?? The program is called "CUP OF JOE FOR A JOE" - Click on either one of the coffee links and show a little support for our troops! It means a lot to some of these guys and girls out here away from their families.

 Oh, I almost forgot ~ This is Nick sitting down checking his email.

So, like I said this was a pretty boring day.... The only other exciting thing I can think of was the fact that I got my six months worth of hair growth cut off again, and I look like I am headed to boot camp! The girls that work at the Barber Shop are all from Kyrgyzstan, and after being out at FOB Warrior (total sausage fest) it is a pleasure to be in the presence of some women!! She cut pretty much all my hair off, but later I noticed it needed a little tweaking to be the way I wanted it... More on that later. Anyway, the Barber Shop just doesn't have much curb appeal as you can see from the picture.

Okay Kiddo's, there is another boring day of waiting here at FOB Sharana! I would like to say that it gets a lot more exciting, but this place is pretty boring. Hang in there ~ It is getting better, and I have an announcement that is going to add some great stuff to the coming weeks!
