If you thought it has been boring so far, you are in for a real treat now. If you would like I can wake you up when today gets over. There really is only so much you can do here while waiting to move on to the next destination.
Early to rise with that typical freezing cold walk to go get coffee at Green Beans with Nick. This really is a treat (the coffee that is - not the freezing cold) considering where we have been the past six months. The coffee that is at the chow hall at our base is like Motor Oil... I like strong coffee, but this stuff is crazy!! You can't put enough milk and sweetener in your cup to kill it, and the taste is horrendous! So after we grabbed our cup of Joe we walked out to the little courtyard area, and just happened to catch the Flag Raising Ceremony of the day.
The rest of the day was filled with a bit of shopping with the local merchants, going to lunch, checking on flights, and Blah - Blah - Blah..... Are you still awake???
Anyway I will rescue you from this boring day with a couple of shots of the spectacular valley view from the HLZ (Helicopter Landing Zone) here at Sharana.
Well, that is about as boring as you can get so far.... It is definitely time for a change of scenery.
Wednesday the 14th is on its way here shortly, and it was a fiasco!
