Monday, January 23 ~ Back to Bangkok...

Hello everyone!!

I'm going to make this one pretty quick since not a lot really happened today, and I am working on this post at the Tokyo airport.

I woke up early today in Chiang Mai and headed down to get my breakfast that was included with the cost of my Hotel...Great deal considering the breakfast is buffet style with plenty of good food ~ Both American and Thai style.

Today I need to be checked out of my hotel by noon, and then I am off to the airport to fly back to Bangkok. First I have to hit the streets to fill a special request from a friend ~ So off I went.

The artwork at this hotel is just amazing!

I was in search of a certain type of Buddha statue, and this was one of the Temples I  stopped at along the way.

Inside of the Temple was beautiful!

I spotted a couple more time machines while on my adventure.

Still on the search ~ I sure wish I could send some of this bigger artwork home.

These ones here remind me of my Mother ~ She loved the Reclining Buddha.

So much beautiful artwork ~ but I am still searching.

I need a shipping container!

I finally found the Buddha Statue that I was looking for ~ I bought it from a little old lady on the side of the road. It is the Buddha that represents Monday, and today was Monday... It was also the first day of the Chinese New Year.
I took the statue to the Temple and had it blessed by one of the Monks.
The Buddha statue from Thailand was a special request by a friend for her partner who is Buddhist, and I figured having it blessed would add to the cool factor. When someone has a special request I always do my best to help them out.

I'm back in a Tuk-Tuk and headed to the airport.

That is it for tonight.... Back to the hotel for a hot shower (No Pictures), some cartoons (SpongeBob was on!) , and off to sleep.
