Hey Everybody!!!
I hope you are all having a great weekend ~ It has been fun filled over on this side of the World!
The cool thing about doing this travel blog is that it motivates me to get out and do some things that are worthy of sharing with everyone.
Today was one of those days that I decided to spend a little money and go out to do something I have been meaning to do for a long time.
I'm not going to get to heavy into the details, but I will say it is one awesome zip line adventure high up in the Rain Forest. If you click on the link above you can get a lot of information, and some of their pictures too. I will also say that it has the longest zip line in the World, and it was extremely cool... It is 600 meters long, which is just about 2000 feet, or almost seven football fields for the distance challenged out there!! During that run you end up above the Rain Forest canopy for a good period of time!
I was told if that I booked the early morning trip that there was a good chance that we may actually see some Gibbons, and they were right.... Just before the long zip line run we spotted some Gibbons off in the distance.
We also did a trek up to look at some waterfalls after we were done in the Jungle.
I took a lot of pictures today, and some of them just didn't turn out that great... I had some battery issues at one point, and then about 3/4 of the way through the zip lines it started pouring down rain. I try to take a lot of pictures so that I can go through and find the best ones to share with you all.
I hope you all enjoy my day as much as I did.
Enough typing ~ On with the pictures!!

Some of the others in my group. |
This whole roof, other than the frame, is made from leaves! |
This is the point where we signed our lives away! |
Time to get geared up. |
Just about ready to load back into the van and get to the starting point. |
All geared up! |
Back in the van |
Being Goofy! |
Donatello giving us some safety rules. |
The first cable was actually attached to that rock ~ I guess that rock is plenty stable! |
Good Idea ~ The safety here is top notch!! |
Getting ready to head to the first of many platforms! |
This place was just amazing! |
Most of the time you end up going over the top of the Jungle Canopy... The ground is way down there! |
A lot of these cool bridges too! |
Another Bridge |
End of the Bridge |
Headed up to the big one! |
This is the platform for the 2000 meter line. |
You can't even see the end ~ It ends on the other side of a canyon in the Jungle. |
We were getting ready to take off on the Big One when we spotted the Gibbons! |
This one here just pretty much sat in that one spot. |
And this one seemed to just enjoy hanging by its one arm! |
Time to get the show on the road! |
This one was so cool ~ you really get going fast, and the view was spectacular! |
This is the landing pad, and they actually have a brake positioned on the line, and a net if the brake doesn't stop you. |
Donatello |
Headed across some more bridges. |
This was a long one!! |
Real Long!! |
Great View! |
Scary spiral stairs going down around a tree.... The were suspended by cables! |
Two at a time!! |
That is the platform with the spiral stairs ~ Gives you a little better perspective. |
This one was about 300 meters long, and it landed in a tree house. |
So much fun!! |
The group at the tree house. |
Hmmmmm.... |
Resting in the trees. |
A couple of the guys getting ready to take off! |
Donatello really like to scare people ~ Just when you would start to go he would grab you and yell ~ WAIT NOT YET!!! |
Flying along |
Always hooked up to a safety line while waiting your turn. |
There was this one where they hooked you up from the back of your harness, and you just pretty much dove off the platform.... It was like a mini bungee jump into a zip line. At the end you hit a net and climb up to the platform. |
There was a couple of assisted rappels through holes like these ~ Kind of freaky! |
THE TREE OF LIFE!!! |
ZIP LINE TO THE TREE OF LIFE! |
The TREE OF LIFE was the last line.... The tree was giant, and the platform was way up there! |
Another assisted Rappel from way up there ~ This one was really freaky ~ They drop you fast!! |
Me and my funny bandana. |
Pretty much done with lunch. |
Our lunch server. |
Now it was on to the waterfalls ~ I'm not going to describe all of these.... Just enjoy the pictures! I will say that it was a very nice workout walking all the way to the top to see them all... I believe there was actually like seven bigger falls. |
The vines in the Jungle are amazing!! |
A couple from Vancouver Canada. |
A couple of girls from England. |
