Hello all!
Here we are ~ It is already Saturday, and this is the last full day I will be spending at The Elephant Nature Park. It is always sad to think that the volunteer week is coming to an end soon.
The morning here was business as usual, and my group was on Poo Patrol again! Like I said before ~ This job really doesn't bother me since it is pretty much like cleaning stalls for horses. Off the group went to get the Elephant housing areas all cleaned up. After we finished the morning assignment it was time to get ready for some lunch, and then I had plans to help with the Elephants down at the river.

Waiting for our assignment, and a little one legged stretching for some. |

This is Pet ~ I just call him Grand Pa ~ He has been with them from before the beginning, and is now around 15+ years old. Before when you would see him he used to always have a stick in his mouth. He is very old now and doesn't get around real good anymore, and the stick has gone away. He now wanders around in search of any loving he can get, and he doesn't ever have to go far. Especially with me around!! I love to just hug and pet this old guy whenever I see him ~ he will start drooling sometimes when I am petting him, and then he just follows me around when I am up on the patio area. Sadly I know he will not be there to greet me next time I come to visit, but he has lived such a great life here at the park. |

After the bath time down at the river, and the group photo, a few of us set out to locate the suspension bridge. This is the trail along the way. |

The Bamboo here is unbelievable! |

There's the bridge. |

Kind of scary!! |

Trying to hold on and make it across. The other side of the bridge lands right in the middle of a small village. |

Not sure what this is ~ I think it is a time machine ~ It took me back to an earlier time! |

I love the way there are so many dogs in a row everywhere that you go. |
After returning from the little trip to the bridge and the river, I too decided to grab an inner-tube and float down the river and relax... Sorry no photos since I didn't want to chance getting my camera wet.
It was then time to get cleaned up for dinner, and start to get packed to leave tomorrow just after lunch.
This pretty much wraps up the adventures for my Saturday at the ENP.
I hope you are enjoying the blog, and Thank You for following my travels.
Have a Great Positive Day!!
